Golf Breaks in Bulgaria

Golf in Bulgaria, and in particular the dramatic Black Sea coastline, is a relatively new and untapped golf destination that was brought to the fore when Graeme McDowell won the Volvo World Match Play Championship at the stunning Thracian Cliffs Golf Club back in 2013 (Gary Player Design).

Since then this destination has gone from strength to strength with two further championship courses in BlackSeaRama, also designed by Gary Player and Lighthouse by Ian Woosnam, all within close proximity. All three courses have their own accommodation offering something different at each site. Apartments and villas at Thracian Cliffs and BlackSeaRama, very modern and chic in design with good facilities at each. Lighthouse Golf & Spa Resort offers both 3-star villas and a 5-star hotel with all the facilities you would expect and with the added bonus of all-inclusive if required.

All three resorts are within easy reach of the seafront and the local town, Balchik where you will find prices extremely pleasing. For groups that require something a little more lively, I suggest staying at the Melia Grand Hermitage in Golden Sands located around 30 minutes from the golf courses. All in all, this is a great golfing destination that I am sure you will enjoy.
