The Dom Pedro Laguna Golf Course is quiteopenand is reminiscent of a parkland course. However, water hazards play a major part in the layouts and strategic bunkers penalise the wayward, demanding precise placing of both tee and fairway shots and accurate approaches to the greens.

Opened in the summer of 2000, the Millennium course offers a class championship layout. The first 9 holes wind through forests of umbrella pines, while the back 9areplayed in more open surroundings.

Opened in 1976, this is another Frank Pennink design. Meandering through rolling countryside with umbrellapine-linedfairways, it is more open than the Vilamoura Old Course. Smaller greens, however, maintain a requirement to play approach shots accurately.

The Dom Pedro Victoria golf course was designed and constructed by Arnold Palmer design. Host to the Portugal Masters since 2007, and to the PGA World Cup in 2005, Victoria is one not to be missed by any serious golfer visiting Vilamoura.

A Frank Pennink design,it'seasy to see why the Old Course is one of the most popular on the Algarve. Founded in 1969 and extensively renovated in 1996 its tighttree-linedfairways make it a great test of golf, and great accuracy is required from the tees.

18 Holes - 6,740 yards - Par 71 - Vale da Pinta is a very attractive course, which since its opening in 1992 has gained an excellent reputation, hosting the European Seniors Tour Qualifying final for eight consecutive years

Bordering the Rio Formosa Nature Reserve, Pinheiros Altos, is named after the pine trees which line most of its 27 holes. The course consists of threenine holeloops, each one with its own distinctive characteristics, and all three require accurate shot making.

18 Holes - Par 72 - 6,700 yards - Located east of Faro, close to the popular resort Tavira, Quinta da Ria opened in 2001 and is now acknowledged as one of the finest courses on the Algarve. A great layout and stunning views of the Ria Formosa reserve, make this a must playcourse.

18 Holes - Par 72 - 6,950 yards - Opened in summer of 2002, this is the sister course to Quinta da Ria and is of equally good quality. A great test of golf and if anything, slightly the more difficult of the two.

Laranjal Golf Course is the newest of Quinta do Lago's three courses and complements the North and South courses beautifully.Originally an orange grove, Laranjal is now a superb 18 hole championship course and has quickly established itself as one of the Algarve's finest.

The San Lorenzo golf course is located in the beautiful Quinta do Lago estate, bordering the Ria Formosa Estuary and salt water lagoons. The course was designed by the American golf architect Joseph Lee and the beautiful Bermuda grass fairways provide perfect playing conditions.

Designed by Rocky Roquemore, the Vale do Lobo Royal golf course is slightly longer than the Ocean course, although every bit as enjoyable to play. The undulating fairways wind their way through pine trees, with plenty of water hazards and sand traps to negotiate along the way. 

Vilasol is one of the best-kept courses in the Algarve. A great layout, with pristine greens which runs true and tight testing holes requiring accurate shot making, Vila Sol golf course is a challenging but very rewarding and enjoyable test for every level of golfer.
