The most recognisable feature of Cambridgeshire has to be the popular university town of Cambridge. Cambridge has a bunch of museums and art galleries along with some unique architecture and majestic college buildings. You can take a walk around the historic market place and have a rather unique and tranquil shopping experience with a mix of high street brands and independent shops. Cambridge is home to many great pubs, restaurants and cafes.
The county's top 4 courses are the Gog Magog (Old Course), Saffron Walden, Gog Magog (Wandlebury Course) and the Links Course at Newmarket. Cambridgeshire is not necessarily a hot spot for world-class golf courses but the Gog Magog Golf Club's unique 36 hole combination, the highly praised parkland course at Saffron Walden and the one of a kind Links course at Newmarket, Cambridgeshire golf is definetely on the map.
Visiting this very peaceful county definitely makes for a well-deserved long weekend golfing break.
