Long renowned as a holiday playground, Mallorca ( Majorca ), the largest of the Balearic islands, has now become a serious golfing holiday destination, with a choice of 14 great 18 hole golf courses.
This beautiful island has something for everyone, from bustling Magalluf with its vibrant nightlife, to the peace and tranquillity of resorts like Costa de Los Pinos in the northeast of the island.
The climate is warm all year round and the autumn winter and spring months are ideal for playing golf. With 14 great 18 hole course to choose from, Mallorca is now one of the best-golfing destinations in Europe.
The south-west of the island is where we find the more lively resorts and bustling nightlife, as well as the capital of the island, the cosmopolitan city of Palma with its wonderful selection of shops, restaurants and tapas bars.
It is also in the south-west that the majority of the island's golf courses are located. Golfers staying in the resorts of Magalluf, Palma Nova, Santa Ponsa, Cala Mayor, Illetas and Camp de Mar can choose from 9 courses, all of which are within easy reach.
The northeast of the island is quieter and very scenic, perfect for those looking for a peaceful and relaxing golf holiday. The resort of Cala Millor is the liveliest in this part of the island, while the resorts of Costa de los Pinos and Sa Coma are oasises of tranquillity and beauty.
