A small village with church and estate, idyllically embedded in a landscape consisting of gentle hills, fields, fruit trees, ponds and clear blue skies on sunny days – anyone who appreciates true Bavarian atmosphere will love the St. Wolfgang Golf Course Uttlau. As did the German golf course architect Kurt Rossknecht when he had the privilege of drawing 18 holes into this Bavarian picture book landscape.
The course, which was harmoniously integrated into the terrain, is based on his designs and, although demanding, is suitable for players of all skill levels. It features two 9-hole loops leading over a ridge, ascending fairways with occasional inclines, elevated greens and long shots into the valley which alternate with level fairways where the golfers need to hit across water to reach the large, undulating greens.
