Located just a short walk from the Constance Belle Mare Plage Golf Resort, the Legend Course was the first of the hotel’s two courses after opening in 1994. Designed by South African Baiocchi, the Legend Course is one of the island’s signature golf courses and has distinctive characteristics including superb wide fairways cutting through the centre of an indigenous forest and large, undulating greens built to USPGA specifications.
The course’s signature hole is the par 3 17th which has you teeing off from one of the several tee boxes on offer over all water to the semi-island green awaiting an accurate tee-shot. This course is not for the faint-hearted, but the beautiful views and the rare views of wildlife will ease the bad days. A drink in the wonderful clubhouse overlooking the 18th is a lovely way to reminisce about the round, and experience.
The Belle Mare Plage Legend Course also hosts one of the main events on the European Senior Tour calendar, the MCB Tour Championship every December. The second course, the Links course, is not within walking distance of the main Belle Mare Plage Resort and provides a different sort of test to its big brother. Over beautiful undulating terrain and with many raised tee boxes, The Links will provide a stern test for all levels of golfer. The Links Golf Resort also has a Golf Academy offering coaching on the course by professional and qualified instructors. The use of golf buggies is mandatory due to its undulating nature.
This Bernhard Langer championship course is designed to challenge advanced players while remaining exciting and playa
